Greetings, my name is Greg and I’m the SEO Specialist that works with Catalyst Construction & Portland Egress Window. We handle all of Ryan’s fan mail and manage his online presence on Apple, Facebook, Bing, & Google. As a business owner, Ryan simply doesn’t have the time to do any of these tasks, except for the occasional product descriptions for the finished work his team of local contractors complete. Since 2018, I have been running this website with my team at Webfu, which I enjoy, because we get to see the growth of the company first hand.
This page serves as a page for website credits, as I am the only one who works on the Portland Egress Window website, aside from the fine folks over at Google who deliver the ads to here. Frequently, I am asked about the software and hardware I use. Therefore, I am including a list of them here, along with some acknowledgments.
In the “Basement Window Gallery” section, you will find photos taken by Ryan, not me, as he’s the main person behind the company. I have, however utilized Adobe Photoshop to create the web gallery for Ryan’s installed Windows. For hardware I mainly work on a Dell Desktop Computer with the latest version of the Windows Operating system. Now, that mobile devices are often used to find services and professionals on the internet I find myself having to use an iPhone and an iPad, often at the same time in order to test web pages on different browsers and operating systems. Despite having a preference for larger screens when working with websites and graphics, I use Macromedia Dreamweaver for all of my HTML programming tasks. Presently, my primary development and editing system is an older Dell desktop computer with a second monitor & third monitor. Additionally, I have an Hewlett-Packard laptop computer that I use while traveling, although its primary use is for drafting emails, I prefer to type on a keyboard versus a mobile phone.
Regarding software, we use WordPress which requires a specific hosting environment to set-up, but for website development purposes, it’s mostly irrelevant. Of course there are hundreds of ways to edit HTML or code, but I prefer using an editor. I’ve been using Dreamweaver for ages, which is customizable and available for purchase from Adobe. For graphics, I use Adobe Photoshop and then run those images through WP-Optimize to make them download faster on the web.
To ensure website functionality, we always test our websites on various browsers, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Brave. So, if you’ve enjoyed this website, and need one of your own don’t hesitate to email us or call us today!
